This book is a collection of eleven essays on the theme "Lost and Found," whose focus comes from multiple directions, where the gazes of scholars from different disciplines meet, all from the Department of Humanities of the University of Urbino Carlo Bo. In this book we will read various stories, of ‘things’ lost and found, ‘small scenes’, that together will, however, compose a broader picture, a varied but unique and harmonious landscape; it will give us an idea of the value of memory and of just how much the humanities are indispensable in giving us that vitality, without which no civilization can know itself and therefore exist.

Abstract

This book is a collection of eleven essays on the theme "Lost and Found," whose focus comes from multiple directions, where the gazes of scholars from different disciplines meet, all from the Department of Humanities of the University of Urbino Carlo Bo. In this book we will read various stories, of ‘things’ lost and found, ‘small scenes’, that together will, however, compose a broader picture, a varied but unique and harmonious landscape; it will give us an idea of the value of memory and of just how much the humanities are indispensable in giving us that vitality, without which no civilization can know itself and therefore exist.
