The new N.H.S. reform in Italy acknowledges that the success of a hospital’s services depends on the excellence of staff and the satisfaction of its patients. While many hospitals have access to detailed patient satisfaction information, significantly less information is available on the experience of hospital staff. To this end, our University Research Centre undertook a survey inviting staff in three hospitals of the Marches Region (Italy) to express their views about their job satisfaction. The response rate was high, indeed higher than that ever achieved in other Italian hospitals. This research presents a summary of the quantitative results in narrative and table format. It also contributes to the existing knowledge about hospital staff satisfaction methodology.

Abstract
The new N.H.S. reform in Italy acknowledges that the success of a hospital’s services depends on the excellence of staff and the satisfaction of its patients. While many hospitals have access to detailed patient satisfaction information, significantly less information is available on the experience of hospital staff. To this end, our University Research Centre undertook a survey inviting staff in three hospitals of the Marches Region (Italy) to express their views about their job satisfaction. The response rate was high, indeed higher than that ever achieved in other Italian hospitals. This research presents a summary of the quantitative results in narrative and table format. It also contributes to the existing knowledge about hospital staff satisfaction methodology.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
