Abstract
The essay creates a bridge between textuality and paratextuality in the domain of late medieval English theatre and drama. Therefore the documents related to the British towns of Chester, Coventry and York, as they are collected in the corresponding volumes of the Records of Early English Drama series, are analysed in their relationship with the extant play texts from the cycles of mystery plays of these towns, in order to verify the traces of the material culture recorded in them that appears engrafted into the play texts themselves.File in questo prodotto:
