Between 1739 and 1751 Giovan Battista Passeri edited three volumes titled Lucernae fictiles. Through texts and tables of the publication, Passeri illustrated his conspicuous oil clay-lamps collection, that included ancient pieces, modern surmoulages, and fakes. The meeting Lumina promoted a interdisciplinary discussion starting from these materials. Literary and archaeological sources as well as collecting practices have been analyzed and offered to a ideal dialog with the toady performances of the lightning systems.dell'illuminotecnica contemporanea. The meeting was held at the same time of the exhibition on Passeri's collection organized in collaboration with Olivieri Library and Museums at Pesaro.
