Between 1739 and 1751 Giovan Battista Passeri edited three volumes titled Lucernae fictiles. Through texts and tables of the publication, Passeri illustrated his conspicuous oil clay-lamps collection, that included ancient pieces, modern surmoulages, and fakes. The meeting Lumina promoted a interdisciplinary discussion starting from these materials. Literary and archaeological sources as well as collecting practices have been analyzed and offered to a ideal dialog with the toady performances of the lightning systems.dell'illuminotecnica contemporanea.
