Trasferimento di sede, stabilimento e fusione delle imprese di assicurazione

After the recently global financial crisis, the European Institutions have presented a new financial system for the European market. In this context, EIOPA (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority) was born with other financial authorities. By analyzing the various legal areas, this paper studied transfer of the companies in the European Union, the free provision of service of the insurance companies, the freedom of establishment and the insurance companies. The issues on the mergers of companies were also addressed during the research; in particular the focus was on issues concerning companies in liquidation or companies with different characteristics compared to firms operating in the insurance sector. In the final part of this paper, the research covered the phenomenon of bancassurance, focusing on related products.
