The article analyses the performance of Twelfth Night at the New Globe in 2012 in the DVD recording (2013). It offers an enlarged review of the show, comparing it to the Globe 2002 version (which adopted the same procedures derived from the Original Practices policy, with an all-male cast, and already featured Mark Rylance in the role of Olivia). It also takes into consideration the audience response to the play, as well as the theoretical approach to ‘filmed theatre’.
