The present study is divided in two parts. The methodological aspects that are the basis of the new edition of Aeschylus’ Supplices, in preparation for the series of Classici Lincei are treated in the first part. In the second part the critical edition of the verses 776-824 is offered. Particular attention is given to the colometric layout of the song as transmitted in the paradosis. Specific textual issues are discussed in relation to ll. 785, 793, 799 and 807.
