Il populismo di Podemos e del MoVimento 5 stelle. Un’analisi laclausiana.

The main object of this research is the study of one of the most interesting political phenomena of recent decades in the European political scenario: populism. This concept is studied by referring to the two more interesting political innovations of contemporary Europe; Podemos and the MoVimento 5 stelle. The first chapter is dedicated to a historical conceptual reconstruction of populism, starting from the first two populisms that really existed: the Russian populism of the mid-nineteenth century and the American populism of a few decades later. In the second chapter it is reconstructed the thought of Ernesto Laclau with particular reference to On Populist reason, a text that provides the main categories of analysis used for the study of the two parties examined. The third chapter is dedicated to the study of Podemos and the 5-star MoVement. In the fourth and last chapter it is proposed a reading of the two political phenomena taken into consideration in the light of what previously said in the first chapters and on the basis of about 20 semi-structured interviews of Podemos and the MoVimento 5 stelle politicians.

Oggetto principale di questa ricerca è lo studio di uno dei fenomeni politici più interessanti degli ultimi decenni nel panorama politico europeo: il populismo. Questo concetto è studiato facendo riferimento a due più interessanti novità politiche dell’Europa contemporanea; Podemos e il MoVimento 5 stelle. Il primo capitolo è dedicato ad una ricostruzione storico concettuale del populismo, partendo da i primi due populismi realmente esistiti: il populismo russo di metà ottocento e il populismo statunitense di alcune decadi successivo. Nel secondo capitolo si ricostruisce brevemente il pensiero di Ernesto Laclau con particolare riferimento a On Populist reason, testo che fornisce le principali categorie d’analisi utilizzate per lo studio dei due partiti presi in esame. Il terzo capitolo è dedicato allo studio di Podemos e del MoVimento 5 stelle. Nel quarto ed ultimo capitolo si propone una lettura dei due fenomeni politici presi in esame alla luce di quanto detto nel corso dei primi capitoli e sulla base di circa 20 interviste semi-strutturate realizzate ad esponenti tanto di Podemos quanto del MoVimento 5 stelle.
