Il saggio verte sulla relazione intima ed indistruttibile tra potere e libertà. Ad una breve ricognizione del tema classico della libertà dei moderni paragonata a quella degli antichi segue un’analisi critica della condizione del potere nelle società neo liberali. In particolare si svolge uno spoglio del potere in alcuni passaggi decisivi dell’opera di Elias Canetti e Michel Foucault al riguardo. L’idea guida del saggio è che la libertà non è un bene, una proprietà, una facoltà, ma l’origine che trascina gli esseri umani nel proprio vortice. Ovvero che essa afferra, definisce, comprende gli esseri umani, facendo scoprire loro una vocazione politica. The essay focuses on the intimate and indestructible relationship between power and freedom. Following a brief overlook of the classical subject of the freedom of the moderns compared to that of the ancients, the esaays focuses on a critical analysis of the condition of power in neo-liberal societies. In particular, the essay examines the concept of power in the context of certain works of Elias Canetti and Michel Foucault.
