1968: the Emotional Involvement of Students in Revolt. A Historical Issue. This paper identifies some of the emotional circumstances that led the 1968 student protestors to demand changes in institutions, life and education. How could so many young people in so many societies (Italy included) be so willing to embrace dissent and harbour so much desire to disobey?
Furthermore, the study explores the role of emotions in the historical research of recent years.
