The aim of this study was to examine physical activity, whose frequency, duration an intensity were assessed, and the quality of life of the elderly, in terms of sensory perception, autonomy, satisfaction with opportunities, and social participation. Two fundamental questions were posed: what kind of physical activity do the elderly engage in? What are the relationship between the amount of physical activity and the measured quality of life? We found the elderly were engaged in leisure time physical activity, light and moderate sports and domestic activities, we also found relationships between physical activity engagement and quality of life, particularly in social indicators of quality of life of the elderly.
