The Editio Platina Sarsinatis has now reached a congruous number of editions. It is possible to precisely identify the basic principles on which the International Centre for Plautin Studies working group has conducted the ekdosis of Plautus' comedies. This essay illustrates the fundamental lines on which innovative ekdosis paths for archaic Latin theatre have been built. Subsequent editions will also be conducted on this basis, maintaining the unprecedented structure with three critical apparatuses.
