The contribution analyses the Etruscan family in classical and hellenistic times through three main spheres, funerary, sacred and domestic. The funerary field provides documentation that is as abundant as it is difficult to interpret, due to its strong ideological content. With regard to the sacred front, it is not easy to identify elements that are directly referable to the family sphere as a whole. We have therefore focused in particular on some evidence of statuettes depicting couples, sometimes with children, found in various sanctuaries in the Etruscan-Lazio area. Even more complicated is the certain identification, within the domestic sphere, of environments directly referable only to the female or male sphere, as Vincent Jolivet had suggested in some of his contributions.

Abstract
The contribution analyses the Etruscan family in classical and hellenistic times through three main spheres, funerary, sacred and domestic. The funerary field provides documentation that is as abundant as it is difficult to interpret, due to its strong ideological content. With regard to the sacred front, it is not easy to identify elements that are directly referable to the family sphere as a whole. We have therefore focused in particular on some evidence of statuettes depicting couples, sometimes with children, found in various sanctuaries in the Etruscan-Lazio area. Even more complicated is the certain identification, within the domestic sphere, of environments directly referable only to the female or male sphere, as Vincent Jolivet had suggested in some of his contributions.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
