The concept of social capital refers to those resources embedded in social networks and that can be mobilized for collective or individual gain advantages. In schools, interpersonal relationships between various social actors can play an important role in educational processes and produce beneficial outcomes for students, teachers and, ultimately, the school community. Several studies have shown that social capital has a positive effect on both individual and collective well-being, as it can improve academic performance and develop a sense of community and belonging, limiting social exclusion and marginalization, which entail costs related to the loss of resources and the growth of social tensions. It is therefore important to analyze the role of social relationships that develop in the school environment to understand their value, so as to encourage positive student outcomes, not only in terms of cognitive and educational aspects, but also in terms of social integration and full participation in community life. Social Network Analysis provides a set of concepts and methods for studying the structure of social relationships within the school context and understanding the implications of these relationships for a range of educational outcomes. It can become a monitoring and analysis tool that allows school administrators and teachers to collect and interpret data on socialization processes and learn how to manage their dynamics in relation to both classrooms and families.

Abstract
It can become a monitoring and analysis tool that allows school administrators and teachers to collect and interpret data on socialization processes and learn how to manage their dynamics in relation to both classrooms and families.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
