The Montefeltro seismic network (FDSN network code: 1S), operational since  December 2018, underwent substantial changes in both station number and  spatial configuration between 2023 and 2026. During this period, the network  was expanded to six stations, providing more homogeneous coverage of the area  between Rimini, Forlì, and the Apennine belt, where the National Seismic  Network has relatively sparse station coverage. Integrating data recorded  by the local network with recordings by the National Seismic Network improves  the detection and hypocentral relocation of microseismicity occurring in  the region. The stations are equipped with high-dynamic-range digitizers  operating continuously at 100 samples per second and with three-component  short-period, extended-band, or broadband seismometers, including SARA SS20  3D/0.5 s, SARA SS02 3D/5 s, Lennartz 3D/5 s, and Guralp 3D/30 s instruments.
