Abstract
The paper focuses on a rock-cut tomb in the Northern Necropolis of Cyrene. The interior chamber of the tomb preserves an important cycle of Roman wall-paintings, known since the beginning of the 21th century, but unpublished until now. The tomb is an important document in the perspective of the ancient art history, as well as in the perspective of the meaning of these wall-paintings in their socio-cultural context. Moreover, the subjects and iconographies selected by the owner of the tomb testify to the ancient dynamics of the so called ‘glolocalisation processes’.File in questo prodotto:
