An approach not only intrapsichic, but also interpersonal to the phenomenon of women who kill their children is firmly proposed. A comprehensive understanding of such of problem has to be reached taking into consideration, in these women, the causal role of many syntoms of childhood depression as trigger moments leading to the assaultve and/or morder behavior, besides solcial economical, cultural, relational, psychological and psychiatric factors.
