After Renzo De Felice’s studies and the subsequent debate which made historical sciences and social sciences cross, there should be a reinterpretation of the relationship between fascism and the middle classes in the light of new historiographical interpretations that lay ritualism, political pedagogy, communication strategy at the core of the analysis. Middle class consensus and progressive dissent against the regime should not be studied according to the old categories of ideological and political opposition , but reconsidered in a context where one can find reasons that relate to the attitude, the experience, the common feeling, the identity, the political representation.
