Giovan Battista Passeri (1694-1780) is the subject of our research project, managed in collaboration with Biblioteca and Musei Oliveriani at Pesaro. The research aims to explore the personality and the antiquarian publications of Passeri in the cultural context of his time. The contribution focuses on the information provided by volumes titled Lucernae fictiles, where Passeri discussed antiquities preserved in his Museum, testifying to provenance of them and offering a general framework on the collecting of antiquities in the Marche region.
