To forecast the result of a basketball match or a tournament is a very tricky point for coaches, spectators and bet points. For this reason a lot of studies tried to find out predictors or factors offering a competitive advantage in basketball performance such as players anthropometrics. After all it is necessary to find out others indicators to be able to describe the on court performance and to have a clear vision of the match during or after the game. Game related statistics from 330 matches of four male European Championships were used to this scope. Significant correlations were found between several game related statistical parameters such as total rebounds and standing (r=–0.29) or blocks and the opponent’s 2 points field goals percentage (r=–0.53). There is the indications from results that some game related statistical parameters can be defined as performance indicators in male European tournaments. Rebounds, blocks, opponents’ fouls and height of every team directly influence the on court performance in basketball, so it is important to take into account these items to study the performance.

Abstract
Rebounds, blocks, opponents’ fouls and height of every team directly influence the on court performance in basketball, so it is important to take into account these items to study the performance.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
