Abstract

Starting from the analysis and discussion of the contributed papers to Faye and Folse’s book on Niels Bohr, the most recent interpretations of his philosophy of physics are critically compared, showing, despite Bohr's peculiar position within the orthodox interpretation of quantum mechanics characterized by a greater philosophical openness towards ontological and metaphysical issues, the emergence of unavoidable antirealistic outcomes of his complementarity principle.
