The paper aims to put some questions in order to the function and the meaning of mythical representation on the Campana terracotta relief. In my opinion, solely the contextual examination may contribute to nuancing suggestions about the possible meaning of this class of material as a medium for addressing political, religious, civil etc. messages. Since the absence of sure documentation of their find circumstances and the other archaeological evidences impede to verify the possible relationship between space/room-function and choice of motifs, I prefer explain the Campana reliefs as a mass production corresponding to the general trend of their historical period.
