This article proposes some considerations on literary translation, starting from the problematic concept of appropriation. Engaging in an interdisciplinary dialogue with poets Antonella Anedda and Vittorio Sereni, and philosophers such as Ortega Y Gasset, Jacques Derrida and Antoine Berman, the author interrogates the ethical relationship to the other that lies at the core of any translation practice.
