Rappresentanza e partecipazione nel diritto della salute e sicurezza dei lavoratori in Italia

The essay recaps step by step the evolution of the health and safety protection system in Italy, by focusing in particular on the role of workers’ safety representative and on the critical issues that have been an impact on their action over time, despite the substantial core rights and prerogatives envisaged by the law and the collective agreements. At first, the role and the prerogatives of the workers’ safety representative were implemented by the d.lgs. n. 81/2008, which enhanced the representation at territorial level and established a representation at production site level, later the three important agreements recently signed by the Trade Union Confederations and Confindustria based on a common strategy to make health and safety protection more effective, let us expect a more motivated and skilled representation and better oriented collective agreements at company level
