Rural welfare is at the center of multiple sociological views between policy sociology and public sociology. Starting from a case study in the Marche region, this work analyzes the contribution of sociology in the construction of instrumental knowledge and proposes an analysis of the relative reflective knowledge on rural welfare. Sociology is recognized in its role as facilitator of socio-territorial innovation processes by combining professional and critical readings.
