The analysis takes place in the horizon of the confrontation with other’s legal experience as a critical resource against the postmodern alleged directional inevitability, with particular reference to the trend of flight from the precept, in the crisis of state sovereignty. Jewish law is observed in its identity dimension, independent of territorial roots of sovereignty, in its pervasively dialogical nature and in the peculiar relationship between hermeneutic development and preserved precept centrality, aimed at guaranteeing the presence of the norm in the cyclical revitalization of the time of history. The paper closes on the idea of juridical reflection as a pilgrimage to the future, in a dialogue to which every possible world is welcome
