After the first working session of the General State on relevant issues such as the promotion of the Italian language in the world, it is priority to reflect on nature and characteristics of the Italian Institutes of Culture. Therefore, we first describe the phenomenon and subsequently identify useful strategies for the diffusion of Italian language and culture abroad.
