2021-2022. The activities of the Archaeological Mission of the University of Urbino in Tripoli and in Cyrene · After the forced interruption of field work by international archaeological missions starting from 2014 and after a brief inspection carried out in Cyrene between 31 March and 3 April 2019, the Archaeological Mission of the University of Urbino has returned operational in Libya in September 2021, carrying out survey, excavation and restoration campaigns in Tripoli, in relation to the Arch of Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus, and in Cyrene. Further campaigns were carried out in February and December 2022. During the missions, some monitoring was carried out in Tripoli in relation to the Quadrifrons Arch, to verify the state of conservation of the monument and to update the restoration project that had been prepared by Mario Luni in 2010, in Cyrene some excavation in the Temple of the Dioscuri and restoration work on the marble staircases and some mosaic floors of the House of Jason Magnus. At the same time, in Cyrene, a restoration training was carried out for officials and technicians of the Department of Antiquities and for students of the Department of Restoration of the High Institute of Science and Technology of Shahat.
