Under what conditions is it possible to do philosophy today? This is the question that has haunted Alain Badiou for more than fifty years and to which, since the first Manifesto for philosophy, he has found at least one answer: philosophy is possible today on condition that it is composable with Lacan, "educator of every philosopher to come", as Badiou defines him. Lacan is a condition of possibility of philosophy because, for Badiou, a (contemporary) philosopher worthy of this name is the one who has the courage to cross, without weakening, Lacan's antiphilosophy, that is, the one who is able to perform an act. But one can find in philosophy something which is analogous to the so called “analytic act”? The aim of this article is to answer this question by illustrating the Badiousian theses together with their significant, limit.
