On May 9, 2023, the “First Italian Archaeology Abroad Day” was held on the Capitoline in Rome, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Rome. It saw the participation of all the directors and scientific heads of the 246 Italian archaeological, anthropological, and ethnological missions operating abroad, and recognised and supported by the MAECI.
