The contribution provides an edition of an unpublished sirventese by the Pergola notary Gaugello Gaugello, whose vernacular work is translated from the Urbinate Latino 692 codex in the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana. The sirventese is in praise of Paolo Godi da Pergola, nephew of the then more famous Paolo Pergolano, master of logic in Venice. The sirventese gives an account of his singular disputatio with Niccolò Perotti at Fonte Avellana, which was followed by a playful graduation at the hands of Cardinal Bessarione, in the presence of Perotti himself and the future Sixtus IV on Mount Catria. The essay discusses the attribution to Bessarion of the singular privilegium laureationis conferred on Godi, also betrayed by the same codex (ff. 181r-183r).

Abstract
181r-183r).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
