This paper presents a didactic proposal for teaching Chinese culture with CLIL methodology conducted in online mode. The first part presents the situation and the challenges of the application of the Chinese CLIL methodology in the Italian educational system. The second part presents an operational proposal for a cycle of lessons in Chinese culture entirely carried out online in a university context, illustrating its objectives, methodological criteria and design, to suggest CLIL teaching strategies that make students’ language experience in the Chinese classroom more effective. The description of didactic activities designed for Chinese language learners intends to show how the use of didactic technology integrated with CLIL methodology can bring added value to the foreign language learning pathway, increasing learners’ motivation, creativity, linguistic and transversal skills.
